Abuse & Takedown Requests
Report a malicious link
If you believe a kwy.uk short link is being used for phishing, credential
theft, malware distribution, fraud, spam or any other harmful purpose, report it to us
and we will investigate and act.
What to include in your report
- The full short link (for example
https://kwy.uk/AbCdEf). - Why you consider it abusive, and any evidence you have (screenshot, report reference, ticket ID).
- The date and time you observed it, in UTC if possible.
- Your contact address so we can confirm the outcome to you.
What we do with a report
- Reports are acknowledged and acted on within 24 hours of receipt.
- Links confirmed as abusive are deactivated; the short link then returns
HTTP 410 Gone. - The source address is blocked from the service, and destination hosts commonly used for disposable phishing pages are refused at creation time.
- The underlying record is retained (not erased) so that it can be produced as evidence if a provider, regulator or court requests it.
- Because
kwy.ukonly forwards visitors to content hosted elsewhere, we also advise reporting the destination URL to the host that publishes it, so that the content itself is removed and not merely unlinked.
Requests from authorities and providers
We cooperate with law enforcement, registries, registrars and hosting providers investigating abuse that involves this service. Legitimate requests for records beyond what is needed to take a link down should be sent to the address above, stating the legal basis and the jurisdiction; we will respond without undue delay.
